A THIN LINE BETWEEN DREAMS AND REALITY, ARTICLE BY KRATIKA CHOUDHARY

There is an objective reality out there, which is nothing but just the reflection of our Dreams. To view this reality we need spectacles of Belief, Attitude and Values. As said by John Lennon that “Imagination leaves a lot to the Realty”. Yes I am talking about Your Dreams and Reality you face. Life is a precious gift and Dreams are just like essence. “What you Dream is what you get” is the only condition you need to be sure about your Dreams first. When I started thinking about this, the very first thing which came to my mind was , “What is a Dream ?” the very second thing I was curious about is “ Is a dream better than reality or not ?”

On my way to find answers, what I found is,“a Dream is succession of images, ideas, emotions and sensations that proceeds usually, involuntarily in the mind during our sleep, which tends to be much less vivid and memorable”. However I didn’t get satisfied and I continued my research and finally what I get is worth sharing that “DREAMS ARE THOSE WHICH YOU SEE FROM YOUR OPEN EYES”, A valuable and inspiring statement by our Former President and a Legend Dr. A P J ABDUL KALAM. He was the person who achieved his dream goal in spite of bundles of troubles and difficulties. He not only suggested us the ways to accomplish our targets but also set an example for youth, that no matter how big your dream is and how many difficulties you have in your way, the only thing you need is zeal towards your goal and success will be yours. In one of the seminar where he was addressing youth, he gave these beautiful lines that, “YOUR DREAM DOES NOT LET YOU SLEEP”.  This means that the passion and that hunger of achieving something should be bigger than anything and only then you can create history. Take an Example of STEVE JOBS who is founder of APPLE Company , or AMITABH BACCHAN, the king of Bollywood. All these personalities are well known in the world for two reasons…. One is there struggle and other is their success. Both these legends faced a lot of failure in their career but their continuous efforts and their zeal towards their Dreams honored them with not only success but with a title of “Inspiration for youth”.  This means that there is a thin line between Dreams and Reality, you just have to cross it to change your dreams into reality. We need facts and real life examples to believe in any philosophy but for dreaming, we never run behind any fact. To fly high, you need big wings…very meticulously illustrated in ‘Play it my way’. He is a big dreamer, he always dreamt about big cricket grounds, revolving balls, his hands were holding a bat to hit the ball and the whole world was dancing around him. He was a high school drop-out, he lived for cricket and he woke up with one dream and slept every night with single dream. That simple soul is none other than SACHIN RAMESH TENDULKAR, a glittering and down to earth star who has lit up the Cricketing World. An American business magnate and the most successful investor of twentieth century says, “One is sitting in the shade today because he planted a tree a long time ago”. He planted a tree in form of a Dream, he dreamt of “Berkshire Hathaway”, to be the most influential one and as according to Time Magazine WARREN EDWARD BUFFET is the wealthiest and the most influential person. His principles are blindly followed by the world of investors, one is “Think long term and be patient”, justified further by Buffet as “No matter how great the talent or efforts, some things just take time. You can’t produce a baby in one month by getting nice women pregnant”. Due to his vision and ideas, he is known as “Sage of Omaha”.

According to JOSEPH MURPHY, the author of one of the book gem “The power of your subconscious mind”, he described dreams as a back bone of your life situations. He put his words like this, “Situations of your life are actions of your waking mind and actions of your waking mind are results of your sleeping mind”, which means your dreams are results of your thoughts and your wills. Famous Director of Hindi Cinema IMTIAZ ALI says, “In life you get only those things for what you dreamt of”.  Now question arises, what stops all of us from following our dreams and to make them real? A study shows that in a day human mind experiences 62000 thoughts, out of which majority are negative thoughts, which eventually suppresses the positive ones. This ultimately scales down the aspirational thoughts which basically bring a big difference in Dream and Reality. This is the reason it is so essential that you take charge of your thoughts, in that way, you can bring forth only desirable conditions. Everything you find in your world of expression has been created by you in the inner world of your mind. So to change your Dreams In reality and before giving your 100 percent you need to trust your Dreams. Imagine the situation where one is putting all his efforts to make his dream a reality  but deep in his mind he has this doubt that he would not get success. What you think will happen ? Law of attraction says that he will only get failure as he is not sure about his dream , he is continuously thinking about the failure and more than success he is attracting failure. so stop thinking about failure , believe your Dreams , trust yourself , love your work , Dream high and success will be yours Because  “THE LAW OF LIFE IS LAW OF BELIEF….BELIEF IN YOUR DREAMS”.
