ANDHRA PRADESH CM SUBMITS HIS RESIGNATION TO GOVERNOR

Andhra Pradesh chief minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy submitted his resignation to the Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan today morning.

Reddy had earlier announced his decision to quit from the post and the party in protest against the manner in which the state was being
bifurcated.

He has been accusing the Congress-led UPA government of being indulged into dividing the ‘Telugus’ in a bid to bolster its ‘vote bank’.

Reddy, flanked by eight Cabinet colleagues and over a dozen MLAs/MLCs, alleged that the Congress leadership in collusion with the main
opposition had ensured passage of the bifurcation Bill in Lok Sabha setting aside all the democratic conventions and practices.
