Ambit Energy can now add the state of Illinois to its list of states that it is supplying gas and electricity to. Ambit Consultants can now begin to gather new customers in the Nicor Gas distribution area. Ambit is a Dallas based company that provides energy to states that have been deregulated.Illinois became the third state that Ambit is enrolling customers n and providing electricity to. New York and Texas have been up and running for some time now. Ambit may only offer their services in states where the electricity market is deregulated. Currently 34 States have a deregulated electricity market which allows customers to choose their provider. Ambit is working diligently to move into these states.
