DRIVE AGAINST PIRACY IN LONI, PIRATED TRACK SUITS OF SHIV NARESH COMPANY RECOVERED DURING RAID.
New Delhi: Indian manufacturing sector has been going through a tough phase and has been incessantly getting adversely affected by problem of piracy. In recent instances it has been seen that Delhi is on its way to become a hub for piracy.
On one side the manufacturing companies have been following all the norms laid down by regulating authorities with an aim to provide best quality to their customers while on other hand some piracy doers have been engaged in digging the roots of genuine manufacturers by causing harm to the goodwill earned by manufacturers over the years.
Piracy not only causing loss to the revenue of government but also deteriorating the goodwill earned by the genuine manufacturers. Genuine Manufacturers have been receiving lots of complaints from their buyers due to purchase of pirated goods.
In a recent case where pirated goods of Shivnaresh, a renowned company of sports apparels have been recovered during a raid conducted in Loni area of Uttar Pradesh on the basis of information of piracy received by Sh. Shiv Kumar Singh, MD Shivnaresh.
Such information of piracy was shared by Sh. Shiv Kumar with their advisor company Brand Pro. Thereafter, Vinay Behl, Director of Brand Pro through his supervisor Raman Kumar traced the factory where pirated articles of Shivnaresh company were being manufactured.
On the basis of complaint filed by Brandpro, Sh. Raj Kumar Pandey, Regionofficer formed a team comprising of 30 policmen led by Sh. Ram Narayan Singh, Sub Inspecter raided the plot in Ankur Vihar area of Loni where these pirated track suits of Shivnaresh company were being manufactured.
Huge amount of pirated track suits were recovered from the said plot where around 50 persons were working under the instructions of one Iqbal Ahmed. Around 45 machines used for manufacturing pirated track suits were also recovered by the raiding team. Iqbal Ahmend revealed during interrogation that he owns another company in name and style of Ideal whose sale is very negligible and hence they have been engaged in manufacturing pirated track suit for last two years. He also revealed that the pirated articles were being rolled out and sold by them primarily in the market of Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan which caused tremendous loss of revenue to Shivnaresh Company and of government revenue.
All the workers detained during the raid were released by the police after giving warning while Iqbal Ahmed, owner and controller of the illicit factory sent to jail after been booked Under section 420 IPC/ 63/65 of Copy Right Act, Section 103/105 of Trademark Act.
The aforesaid recent raid had sent a strong message among the piracy manufacturers that the agencies are quite vigilant about piracy and the defaulters will not be spared by these enforcement agencies.
After the aforesaid raid there is a dip in the production of pirated articles observed in the Delhi NCR but there are miles to go to attain a piracy free India.
