Rabri Devi

Former Bihar Chief Minister and RJD leader Rabri Devi today strongly defended her husband and party chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, claiming that he was innocent. Lalu is currently serving a five-year imprisonment in Jharkhand’s Birsa Munda Jail in a fodder scam case.

Interacting with media persons during her departure to Pali Ganj in Patna district to address the second phase of RJD’s Parivartan rally, Rabri claimed that there was no evidence against Lalu in the case. She said raids were conducted at their house and a case of
disproportionate assets was lodged against them but nothing came out.
Rabri, who has taken the baton of Lalu’s unfinished rally, vowed to highlight the innocence of her husband among people.

Tejaswi Yadav, the younger son of Lalu-Rabri who was accompanying her mother for the rally, vented his ire against Nitish Kumar government in Bihar, saying that he would make people aware about a number of issues the state is suffering from.

Besides targeting communal forces for taking centre stage in Bihar as well as the country, Tejaswi said he would tell people how his father was falsely implicated in the case under a political conspiracy.
