Sunday, India has reached on another milestone in the space exploration. Mars Orbitor designed by ISRO has left the earth’s orbit and now moving towards the Red Planet.

Mangalyaan has reached to Mars transfer Trajectory and the first step of going out of the Earth’s orbit has been successfully achieved with this.

The total journey to its destination was assumed to be 680 million kilometers and now Mangalyaan will revolve arount the sun in next 10 months.

ISRO’s PSLV C 25 has successfully injected the 1,350 kg ‘Mangalyaan’ Orbiter into the orbit around the earth some 44 minutes after a text book launch at 2.38 PM from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota on November 5, marking the successful completion of the first stage of the Rs 450-crore mission.
