MLA KAPIL MISHRA WROTE LETTER IN HIS BLOOD TO LG AND DELHI GOVT. AGAINST PROPOSED LANDFILL SITE ON YAMUNA RIVER BED IN NORTH-EAST DELHI.
New Delhi: On Wednesday, MLA Kapil Mishra took his protest against the proposed landfill site on next level. He wrote a letter in his own blood addressed to LG and Chief Minister for scrapping the proposed landfill on Yamuna river bed near Village Ghonda and Sonia Vihar.
Through this letter, he drew attention over the possible adverse effects of this Landfill proposal on the health of above 25 Lakhs people in the adjoining localities. Kapil Mishra is getting a tremendous support of thousands of people in his struggle against this proposed landfill site.
He has also filed a petition in National Green Tribunal (NGT) which will be listed in NGT on 3rd May, 2018 in which he demanded an assurance of other concerned departments/agencies viz. Central Pollution Control Board, DDA , EDMC for scrapping the aforesaid proposal of landfill.
Kapil Mishra further mentioned in this letter that, “On 3rd May 2018, if Delhi Government’s Environment Minister, DDA and EDMC do not file a written protest petition against this Landfill before NGT then Mishra will observe hunger strike till death on Khajuri Chowk in North East Delhi. ”
