A little.  A lot.  First, they’re both deregulated markets.  That means you now have a choice as to who provides your phone services and your energy services.

Where Ambit Energy differes from Excel Communications is with how we market the business.  I knew nothing about advertising online back then.  We built our business purely person to person, and LOTS of meetings and LOTS of travelling.  I hardly considered it a home business.

With my Ambit Energy business, I have built beyond what I did with Excel and I did it online without EVER leaving my house to sign up a consultant.  Well ok, I did leave my house one time to sign up my friends Patty and Rob who live just a few miles away.  But that was out of courtesy.  Everything I have done with my Ambit business has been online or on the phone.  It’s amazing what you can accomplish from home.
