NEW DELHI BAR ASSOCIATION PROTESTS AGAINST SHIFTING PATIALA HOUSE COURT

New Delhi : On Friday, New Delhi Bar Assosiation (NDBA) observed a full strike within New Delhi district Patiala house courts. NDBA President Mrs. Santosh Mishra led the protest of advocates against the shifting of the Patiala house court to Rouse avenue.

A mass rally of advocates moved from court premises to house of Delhi’s Deputy CM Sh. Manish Sisodia, while sisodia was reportedly out of India but his secretary met with a delegation of the advocates and assured a prompt action in this matter. After an assurance from sisodia’s office group of advocates winded up their protest.

Mrs. Santosh Mishra said, “We will continue our peaceful agitation against the decision of superior courts for transferring this district court from Patiala house to Rouse Avenue and this transfer would be a direct financial dent on all the advocates who owns a chamber in this premises since they have to cater all the means again to have a chamber. ”

Advocate Deepak Tyagi said, “ All the advocates stands firmly against the shifting of Patiala house court since this will cause an unease to all the advocates who will have to travel more distances to reach Delhi’s High Court and Supreme Court which will be an extra burden on the advocates as well as to the ordinary litigants.”
