PANCHAYAT BANS CELL PHONES FOR UNMARRIED GIRLS
In yet another incident of unlawful imposition on fairer sex, a panchayat in Bihar’s West Champaran district has banned mobile phones
for juvenile and unmarried girls.
The residents of Somgarh panchayat in Sathi police station area of the district issued the diktat in presence of village head Saleha Khatoon,
with an objective to rein in the eloping incidents of girls.
Interestingly, both Hindus and Muslims gave their nod to the prohibition.
