Radio Jockey threatens T-Series CMD in the name of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh

–          Crime Branch arrested RJ with his friend

NA, New Delhi:

Delhi Police’s Crime Branch has arrested a 30-year-old Radio
Jockey of All India Radio (AIR) on the charges of impersonation after
he was found involve in threatening the director, Ved Parkash Chanan of
Super Cassette Industries Limited (SCIL) in the name of Prime Minister Manmohan singh the last few months. The RJ, Vikas Dutt had modulated his
voices and asked the director to first reinstate an sacked employee,
Kishan Kumar (34) of the company in the name of BJP leader
Shatrughan Sinha and Rashtriya Janta Dal President Lalu Prasad Yadav.

Police sources said that the arrested persons have been identified as
Kishan Kumar and Vikas Dutt. “Kumar was working with the SCIL for the
last five years as a liaisoning consultant, while the another accused,
Dutt was working as RJ with AIR and also runs his medical store in a
private nursing home situated in Shalimar Bagh. Dutt is a pharmacist,”
the sources added.

The accused, Kumar met with Dutt in 2012 in a common friend’s party
where they also exchanged their numbers. “Kumar was first time sacked
from his job on 21 February this year and then June 30 this year. With
the help of his another friend, Mohit, who is absconding, he convinced
Dutt, Mimicry artist for this job and asked him to call his employer
in the name of political bigwigs,” the sources said, adding that Kumar
used to give Rs 5000 to Dutt for one call.

The complainant Chanan, told police that an unidentified caller spoke
in the intonation of BJP MP Shatrughan Sinha, RJD leader Lalu Prasad
Yadav and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh seeking favours for an
ex-employee of the company for the last one year. The caller also
threatened him of dire consequences. “During investigation, police
came to know that the victim Chanan received first call from
Shatrughan Sinha after he removed one of his employees, Kumar from his
job. After the call, he instated his employee but after weeks, he
again received a call from Lalu Prasad Yadav and this time, the caller
asked for Kumar’s promotion along with a new cabin,” the police
sources said, adding that the caller also threatened to hurt his
family if his demands were not met. After all the threatening calls,
he decided to meet the concerned politicians and he was in for a rude
shock when they told him that none of them had ever called him.

Few weeks ago, the complainant’s manager Beer Singh received a call
wherein the caller had pretended to be PM Manmohan Singh and asked him
to do favour for Kumar. It was then that the complainant decided to
inform police and sent recordings of his conversation with the caller
to Delhi Police Commissioner B S Bassi. Based on the victim’s plaint,
a case has been registered under Sections 419, 507 and 120-B of the
IPC at Crime Branch police station.manmohan_sl_29-09-2012
