Mumbai :  A district court has sentenced a life term for four persons involved in the rape with a telephone operator in Shakti Mill last year. These convicts were booked under various charges Like criminal conspiracy, Gangrape, unnatural sex, Criminal intimidation , wrongful detention under IPC.

Mumbai police arrested seven persons in this case and during their investigation they found that three persons were involved in both the cases of rape with telephone operator and Photo Journalist.

Judge Shalini Phansalka decreed that Vijay Jadhav, Mohd. Qasim, Mohd. Ansari are convicted in the both the cases.

These cases were among few of the most shocking rape cases came in the light in India.

Whereas two minor convicts are being tried in a Juvenile Justice Board .

Maharashtra Home Minister R. R. Patil , welcomed the verdict “These cases are being tried in a fastest possible time and the victims have got the justice….I hope this verdict will act as a deterrent,” he told reporters outside the court.
